Our Story
I became a widow in February, 2003, after my children were grown, and I was a grandmother.
I wasn't very active socially at that time, and spent a lot of time on the computer. I was in several e-mail groups, and a Christian chat room. In the chat room is where I met Abdul. Although he was in Africa, we became very close emotionally online.
We had been talking for about a year, when we decided we wanted to marry, and for him to come to America. He has a six year old daughter, Aisha, and hopes to bring her with him. I flew to Senegal for a week, and we were married on October 1, 2004. I came back to the States, and am waiting for him to get his visa, and join me here.
It is an interesting note that in November, 2004, I became a greatgrandmother. I don't really feel like one, but I dearly love my greatgrandson, P.J., for Paul James, Jr., my grandson.
I love my new life, as Abdul's wife. He is so sweet and considerate to me, and we are so much in love. This is another internet romance with a happy ending. This is happening more all the time, as the www brings the world together as it has never been before.
Although we were only together one week in Senegal, I know we will be together always, as we are now in heart and soul. I thank God for bringing us together.
